I've got a sleeping bag question. I looked through the FAQ about warmth at night, but there was not much on the Langtang/Gosainkund Trek. I will be there for the greater part of November, and am wondering what the suggestions are for how warm of a bag to get. I know there are only 2 or 3 nights about 4,000 meters, and even then that's not THAT high. I have a +25 degree F bag, but am starting to worry this might not be enough at Laurebina Yak, Gosainkund, and the such. Any opinions?
Thanks |

+25f New down sleeping bag is okay. Lodge trek? Ask blanket from lodge owner wherever you stay. Sleeping in tent? Get a liner bag and thick mattress. Hope that helped you.

We trekked upto Kyanjin Gompa in November and then stayed there in a lodge for 2 days. I had a +15 bag and it was adequate. If it gets too cold for you you may need to get in with warm layers and finally if it is still cold you can request the lodge owner for a quilt or blanket.
Ideally in Nov a +10 to +15F bag would be perfect |

Thanks for your help! I took my +25 back and got a +10. Itll be a lodge trek so sounds like this should be good.
Thanks again. |
