Hi folks,
Could anyone give me an indication of what kind of weather I could expect if trekking in April? I have the Manaslu Circuit or EBC in mind. Also, what kind of crowds could be expected at this time of year? Many thanks! Last edited by Doppelwhipper; 14th July 2010 at 12:55 AM. |

Expect all kinds of weather. Hot (especially in the lower areas) and cold (during nights at altitude), humidity and rain should be expected, sometimes a wind, maybe snow. April is high season so there will be plenty of other trekkers around, of course EBC will be significantly busier than Manaslu.
Sorry for such a broad answer but weather is unpredictable and crowds are relative. The main thing is that April is a good month to be trekking in Nepal, wherever you go. |

I agree with Oli. Good time to see wild flower. Mostly first half of the day is clear and beutiful. Expect some snow at LarkyaLa in Manasalu Circuit.

lot of rhododendrons on the lower part of the Everest trail especially near Lamjura pass during april. Good time to be in Nepal and crowds are less than october /november.

Manaslu could be hot in April, on the lower reaches. Say the first 6 days of the trek or so...
